This 6-day itinerary will take you on a thrilling journey to the summit of the highest mountain in Africa.
Day 1: Arrive in Marangu and Begin the Trek
Today marks the beginning of your Kilimanjaro adventure! You’ll arrive in Marangu and meet your guide who will provide you with a detailed briefing about the trek. You’ll then begin the trek, passing through the lush rainforest and past beautiful waterfalls.
Day 2: Trek to Horombo Hut
Today you’ll trek to the Horombo Hut, situated at an altitude of 12,200 feet. You’ll be surrounded by stunning views of Kilimanjaro’s glaciers and snow-capped peaks. You’ll take a rest here before continuing your trek.
Day 3: Trek to Kibo Hut
On the third day of the trek, you’ll make your way to the Kibo Hut, situated at an altitude of 15,400 feet. You’ll enjoy the spectacular views of the surrounding landscape and take a much needed rest before the final ascent.
Day 4: Summit Push
It’s time to start the summit push! You’ll begin your ascent to the summit of Kilimanjaro in the early morning hours. The climb is steep and challenging, but the views of the surrounding landscape will keep you going.
Day 5: Descend to Horombo Hut
After reaching the summit, you’ll begin your descent back to the Horombo Hut. You’ll take a well-deserved rest and enjoy the views of the landscape below.
Day 6: Descend to Marangu
On the final day of the trek, you’ll make your way back to Marangu. You’ll have the opportunity to take in the stunning views of Kilimanjaro one last time before you say goodbye.
